What MA needed most wasn't the support of the fans but the support of the owners to start the rebuilding of the team with 'his' own players rather than the ones bought by K#$n. There are glaring shortcomings in the team which nonsense such as 'lets keep behind the team' and 'positive momentum' cannot begin to address. This was the last transfer window before season-ticket renewals go out, what 'positive' message does this offer the fans or MA for next season?

What MA needed most wasn't the support of the fans but the support of the owners to start the rebuilding of the team with 'his' own players rather than the ones bought by K#$n. This was the last transfer window before season-ticket renewals go out, what 'positive' message does this offer the fans or MA for next season?

The light Is the owners are taking you for a ride. The option is to not give them any more of your money. I realise fans peer through rose tinted glasses, but really. Do you still not believe us doom sayers? I have (along with a number of others) been saying for about two years that we have been shafted. Each time we are proved right people make excuses. Ok its your money. But its also my opinion. Rovers as you knew it no longer exists and will go from bad to worse until this lot get out. You will just have to accept that and if you do keep going down, fine. But don't moan! Accept reality or you'll be a very unhappy punter until administration inevitably comes knocking. Cant argue but when he had an off day, which was more often that not we ended up playing with 10 men.

Lets be honest, we were trying to hang onto players just as other clubs were trying to hang onto theirs.

Get real guys, even if we had got rid of 10 players there would be another 15 on our books who still wouldn't even get on the bench.

So next year he will be unable to command a fee and will leave for nothing, Superb, its great to see good owners at work. We had the same situation with Hoilett, but because he was under 23 we got a substantial fee for him even though he ran his contract to nothing. Oh, but hang on, Charlie is over 23!!! Charlie Austin has 18 months left on his contract, and is in the process of negotiating a contract extension. He's on record as saying he's more than happy to stay at Turf Moor.

Haven't seen it yet but I am pretty sure that Andy Cryer tweeted last night that one of the two players, could have been Campbell, wanted, or was offered £4.5 million for a 3.5 year contract.

Don't know if that's true or not but if it is it's ridiculous money for someone who is in effect nothing more than a journeyman Championship player.

Michael Appleton will prove his worth and has already got off to a great start sorting out the wheat from the chaff in his squad.

The bloke only had 13 days of the window left after he joined to assess the current squad, sort through all the contracts and decide who he wanted out and who he wanted to come in.

Personally I think he did a very good job of it and the fact that someone at the club screwed-up the admin side of it no way reflects on Appleton.

As both players are expected to still sign for us on loan during the next week it isnt really a tragedy is it?

We are still in with a sound chance of making the play-offs the way the team, are playing and with these two new additions then that makes the chance all the more real.

No heartbreak for MA at Ewood, The only ones with broken hearts will be the doom merchants and false posters who magnify every little thing that happens at Ewood into something tragic - when actually this sort of stuff happens at most clubs all the time too.

More joy to come on Saturday when it will be the third time we beat Bristol City this season - shame we cant play em every week!
