LANCASHIRE League chiefs have pulled off a major coup for the famous competition after landing a lucrative three-year sponsorship deal with brewing giants Heineken UK.

Accrington Cricket and Tennis Club’s annual general meeting takes place on Friday, February 3 in the Thorneyholme Road clubhouse. The meeting starts at 8pm and all are welcome to attend, but only members can vote.

A course for people wanting to become umpires starts tomorrow night at East Lancashire Cricket Club. The 11-week course costs £40 and anyone wishing to attend should turn up at the Dukes Browm club for 7.30pm.
