Saint Stephen’s Church is raising money for repairs and improvements.
Plans, displayed at the church, include urgent repairs to the exterior of this Grade 2 listed building which are due to be carried out this summer.
The second phase is to repair damage inside the building and to make further improvements. These plans, including a small kitchen area with running water and a disabled toilet, have been met with real approval from the congregation.
During the past year some fundraising has already taken place and more events are planned along with grant applications to raise enough funds to complete the project.
A recent article in the Parish magazine gave thanks “for the generosity and constant support that so many have shown in supporting fundraising events and appeals” and continued "whatever help you can give, it will be greatly appreciated".
