A trip to the beach can make for a nice day out with friends and family, especially when you’re treated to a bit of sun but it can get expensive with additional costs like parking to bear in mind.

Blackpool Beach has been named amongst the most expensive when it comes to parking costs at beaches in England and Wales in new research by Millets.

The research revealed a few things about coastal areas in England and Wales.

The team at Millets analysed Google Reviews, water quality ratings, ocean temperatures, beach facilities, accessibility and parking costs to reveal the best coastal towns in England and Wales as well as the UK’s most pet-friendly coastal destinations.

Blackpool Beach among the most expensive when it comes to parking

Blackpool Beach is ranked the eighth most expensive for parking as it costs visitors £6 on average for up to four hours and the average hourly parking price is £1.50, according to the research.

The most expensive beach parking in England and Wales, with an average parking cost of £9.20 for up to four hours, was Bournemouth Beach.
