Lancashire Telegraph review by Simone Yates from November 12, 2011.

TAPIZZA is the latest tapas restaurant to open in Darwen and, having been recommended to me a number of times, it was somewhere I was eager to try.

The menu is great — offering tapas and pizza dishes, all at great prices, with lots to choose from.

On our arrival we were given complimentary bread that was served hot, drizzled with honey, with a side portion of black and green olives — a perfect way to get the tastebuds going.

The menu is impressive. With six dishes at just £7.95 you can’t go wrong.

After scanning through, my friend and I decided to share six of the tapas dishes from a list of many, as well as ordering a pizza.

Tapas dishes include vegetable, meat and fish options and there is something for everybody at Tapizza. They even do a delicious black pudding and Lancashire cheese pizza for those with the more traditional East Lancashire palate.

We went for something a bit more random — a chicken Kiev pizza. Served with garlic coated chicken pieces, olives and mozzarella cheese, it tasted delicious.

Once the food arrived we found our choice of king prawns and tuna parcels was delicious, freshly cooked and moreish.

Desserts are impressive, too, with temptations including home made ice cream and tiramisu. All of the desserts come with a complimentary coffee for just £3.85.

Needless to say, we were also tempted by the wine list and the cheapest on the list was a bottle of house white at just £11.

The bill in total was just over £30, which is not too much for such great food and service.
