Shadow Complex, Xbox 360, 1200 Microsoft points WHAT are the core things we love about action adventure games?
Exploration and fighting, mostly, which Shadow Complex delivers in spades presenting you with one of the most impressive side-scrolling shooters you're likely to have ever seen.
2D in essence but, with everything rendered in 3D, the Restoration base you explore is drop-dead gorgeous and this also allows enemies to attack from the foreground and background, bringing an added layer of depth and complexity to combat.
Throw in the fact that almost everything you do through completion of the single player game is tracked, giving you a numerical score on a leaderboard, and you just know you'll be heading back to score a few more headshots and a quicker level time, much to the irritation of your chums.
