You'll probably recognise Felix Dexter. He's been on Have I Got News For You, The Fast Show and Grumpy Old Men, with straight acting roles in Casualty and The Bill thrown in.

He's also done theatre and radio work. But it was in the shape of a comedian that he came to Burnley.

His one-man show, Multiple Personalities in Order, introduced the audience to a mix of characters as well as some stand-up from the man himself.

Dexter came out in character as a student hotel manager, wearing a hat, scarf and blazer.

Some parts of it worked but, in honesty, some punchlines were lost on me as I couldn't understand his exaggerated Nigerian accent.

His interaction with a couple in the audience was sweet, though, where he advised the man: "Tell your 'oman' you love her."

He joked about the 'minimalist' set as he was changing for his next character, with only a coat stand laden with props and a microphone at his disposal.

There were there characters in total, each with their own jacket and hat.

While each element was enjoyable, for me the sketches were longer than they needed to be, losing a bit of momentum towards the end.

But performing unperturbed to an audience of around 25 deserves plenty of credit for professionalism.
