Remember the days when Guitar Hero was king?
You know, before Rock Band appeared and increased the number of instruments you had to throw into your newly expanded toybox?
Warriors Of Rock appears to hark back to those days with a focus on single player and an emphasis on rock that is less mainstream than other Guitar Hero games of late but, in its refusal to go all party, benefits immensely.
KISS frontman Gene Simmons heads up this new instalment but it's not all based around his band.
There are 11 bands making a debut and 90 tracks to strum too and just look at the lineup — from Black Sabbath to Queen.
What stands the game out is the Quest mode. With Simmons narrating, you’re given a set of trials and they transfer you from guitar hero to a warrior that needs to slay a beast.
