A video has captured the adorable moment a plane-obsessed boy spotted the Red Arrows fly over Blackburn at the weekend.
Zidan Isaak, five, was visiting his auntie Neelam Nisar, in Pleckgate when he decided to prank her by leaving a video on her Ring doorbell.
The Mellor Saint Mary Church of England Primary School pupil got the “shock of his life” when he heard and saw the aerial display team The Red Arrows, fly over.
In the video, he can be seen excitedly pointing at the sky, screaming ‘woah!’. He told his cousin ‘that was sick’.
Neelam said: “He was visiting me in Pleckgate when he went out to prank her by leaving a funny video on the Ring camera as he often does, only to get the shock of his life - he wanted to [call out his brother and cousin] but also didn’t want to miss it.
“He loves planes and adventures and since seeing the Red Arrows he has been looking at them online and saying he wants to fly one.”
Isaak Sadiq, Zidan’s father, said: “Zidan absolutely loves aeroplanes, helicopters, and fighter jets. He’s especially excited for his new flying, radio-controlled fighter jet to arrive.”
The Red Arrows were performing at the Blackpool Air Show over the weekend but people in Lancashire, and other parts of the North West, were delighted to see the aircraft fly over their towns before and after the event.
On Sunday (August 10), the Red Arrows made their way back to base at RAF Waddington after wowing crowds at Blackpool Air Show. The path the Red Arrows took - above towns including Ormskirk, Rivington and Chorley - gave people the opportunity to see the amazing aircraft without visiting the show on the Lancashire coast.
Karl Kirkup also posted a picture of the aircraft flying over Longridge, on Saturday, ahead of the Blackpool Air Show.
