REPORTER Jon Robinson tackled a section of the stage two route with professional cyclist Ian Wilkinson.
The Chatburn-based cyclist is bidding to be part of this year’s race having previously been in four other Tour of Britain runnings.

The route has been billed as the toughest in the tour this year and is expected to test the riders from start to finish.
Known as ‘Superman’ Ian took Jon through his paces and told him his impressions of the route as well as his hopes for the tour’s legacy in East Lancashire.
