Mick takes up new coaching role

Burnley Juniors have appointed Mick McGee as the new head coach of its Under 13s/14s who has been working within the junior section for the last 18 months.

He has also recruited is friend and ex-first team front row player Phil Jones. Both grew up in junior rugby at Burnley and now after many years service in the senior first team are giving something back. McGee is a Level Two qualified coach and already this season he has run two training sessions for North Lancashire – but his main priority is suppporting year 7, 8 and 9 school pupils, develop at Burnley RUFC.

Training takes place at Unity College on Wednesdays at 6.30pm or Sunday mornings at Burnley Rugby Club behind the Oaks Hotel off Colne Rd at 9.30am.
