Second half goals from Lee Pugh and Alex Curran handed the Reds the win.

Colne created the first real chance after 20 minutes when Curran released Danny Wilkins into the penalty area but he lifted his shot high over the bar.

At the other end Hakan Burton made a double save to keep the scores level.

Colne broke the deadlock three minutes after the break when Pugh side-footed home through a crowded goalmouth.

Prescot tried to respond with Chris Almond firing over and James Edgar curling a free kick high before Colne hit the hosts on the counter and Curran outpaced the defence to round the keeper and double the lead.
