A RIBBLE Valley musician is hitting a high note at the Olympics after writing the music for one of the dressage events.
Tom Hunt, who was classically trained at Stonyhurst College, has been working on the music for the freestyle event with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin, who have already won gold in the team dressage.
In freestyle dressage, riders and their horses must complete a routine in time with a piece of music.
In 2010, Tom also composed, and produced, a piece called Vanquish for top British rider Michael Eilberg’s Grand Prix Kur.
Tom, who went on to study music composition at Leeds College of Music, has also worked on the soundtrack for The Equestrian, a short film about a talented dressage rider, which is due to be released this year.
