JACK Prince scored four times as Lancashire U14s Schoolboys made it third time lucky to beat their Staffordshire counterparts.

The Blackburn with Darwen hot-shot was the star of the show at Wren Rovers FC, scoring twice in the opening nine minutes before completing his hat-trick just before half time.

Prince, who opened the scoring in the fifth minute, fitting wrapped things up scoring the sixth and final goal.

Chorley's Sam Twist and Jordan Gregory from Blackpool as scored as Lancashire made up for defeats against Fleetwood Town and the West Midlands.

The Red Rose boys started the game at a furious pace and the Staffordshire defence crumbled under the pressure, conceding three goals in the opening 14 minutes - two from Prince and another from Twist.

Tommy O'Hara, Staffordshire's best player on the night, reduced the arrears with an excellent shot from the left wing into the far corner of the goal.

But just before half-time, Prince completed a well-taken hat-trick to restore Lancashire's three goal cushion.

That lead was increased early in the second half when a Gregory free-kick deceived the Staffordshire keeper.

With both sides making use of their substitutes, the game became more even but there was enough time for striker Jack Prince to score his fourth of the game to complete an impressive win.
