MILL Hill St Peters fell to their second home defeat of the campaign, despite Ben Singleton giving them the lead from the penalty spot on the stroke of half time at Queen Victoria Street.

But Cumbrian visitors Hawcoat Park stepped up a gear in the second half, Ryan Kendall and Elliott Moore doing the damage.

However, Mill Hill’s second string enjoyed the winning feeling, Michael Preston and James Grubb on the mark in a 2-0 victory at Poulton Reserves.

In the top flight, Burnley United, who saw Joe Rodriguez score a hat-trick, suffered another home loss, this time to in-form Fulwood Amateurs, who edged the contest 4-3.

Longridge Town won 7-3 at Eagley - with Rick Coar scoring six of them.

Despite goals from Sam Whittaker, Alan Coar and Aaron Davies, Hurst Green slipped to a 5-3 home defeat to Poulton. But the club’s second string won 3-2 win at Lostock St Gerards with Tom Bamber, Oliver Steele and Mike Williams all scoring.

Haslingden St Marys lost 3-1 at home to Burscough Richmond.

And their Reserves lost by the same score at Leyland United, Michael Robinson netted for the Saints.
