JIMMY Waddington will play Tony Greenwood in the Foster's Golden Cue small table final after coming through two dramatic semi final clashes.

Both matches went to deciding frames with Waddington beating Doyle and Greenwood holding off the challenge of young gun Brad Southern.

The final will take place at Ighten Leigh Social Club on Satuday at 3pm.

In the first semi final, Doyle gave Ex-champ Waddington a real scare.

Lamb Club's Waddington had raced in to a 2-0 lead before Doyle got into gear and came back with two consecutive frames to take the match to a deciding frame in front of a packed crowd at Ighten Leigh.

The final frame had everything including a terrific bout of safety at the start before Doyle, who plays for Shorthomers, got in with what looked like was going to be a winning clearance before missing a straight red to the middle bag on 49.

Waddington replied with a quick fire 36 before losing position and giving Doyle another chance to take the match - but he missed the red to the corner pocket and went in off in the middle.

Waddington didn't need a second opportunity, clearing to the pink to book his place in the final.

In the second semi final, Worsthorne's Greenwood took a tense first frame to edge 1-0 up against Southern with the help of a good run of 36,

But a display of awesome potting saw Sourthern take the second frame and level the match.

Greenwood came back in the third to make it 2-1 but the Loveclough youngster slammed in a great clearance in the fourth after looking dead and buried to make it 2-2,

The atmosphere was electric for the decider but it was the mosre experienced Greenwood who held his nerve to book his second final appearance.
