OLD STARS: Burnley RUFC Veterans who enjoyed a 42-12 win over Rossendale
BURNLEY won the battle of the veterans in an end-of-season showdown with Rossendale.
The over 35s clash was held at Marl Pits ahead of Rossendale’s beer festival.
And it was Burnley were were drinking to their success as they ran out 42-12 winners with player/coach Simon Finnan leading the way with a hat-trick of tries while Ashley Robinson, Laurie Smith, David Collinge and Gav O’Brien all touched down - Mike Smith adding three conversions.
