Rossendale 31 Burnage 5

BACK to more or less full strength in the pack, Rossendale returned to winning ways with a bonus point home win against Burnage.

Paddy Pole opening the scoring, playing advantage from a penalty conceded by the visitors in a line out, and cutting through a well worked try.

Tom Bedlow brought up the second off a midfield break by Ryan McKibbin with Pole in support to give the scoring pass, James Bramhall adding the extras.

Bramhall crossed for the third up in support of a break by Jamie Albinson with Danny Harrison in for the bonus score finding space out wide following some great handling across the line.

Bramhall was again on hand with the conversion for 24-0 advantage at half time.

In the second period, Burnage crossed for a try but with Rossendale now well on top, a turn over at the ruck provided the opportunity for the ball to be moved swiftly through the hands for George Peel to go in from 35 metres.
