ROVERS have not received any bids for Bradley Dack, the Lancashire Telegraph understands.

Reports in the national press claimed Rovers had dismissed an offer of £4million from Championship side Cardiff City for the 24-year-old who has scored 11 goals this season.

But it is understood that Rovers haven’t received any bids for Dack, nor would they welcome any.

Boss Tony Mowbray reiterated earlier this month that he doesn’t want to lose any of his star names, while Dack has also stated he is enjoying his time at Ewood Park.

Rovers resisted bids for a number of their senior players in the summer, and Mowbray doesn’t intend on losing anyone in this window.

Speaking earlier this month, he said: “Can I say I have had assurances? Let’s put it this way, I’ve met the owners a few times now and they are decent, open people.

“That’s what I’ve found with them in an open, honest relationship

“They understand that if we are to get out of this division, if we are to go further than that, then it is about bringing in more talent and not selling out best players.

“That is why after we went down last summer why Mulgrew stayed with us, why Graham stayed with us, why we went out and bought Dack and Whittingham.

“And I don’t see that changing because somebody offers money for a certain player.

“Over the next few weeks we will only lose people we want to lose or are happy to lose and we will strengthen our squad over the next four weeks.”

The attacker has shaken off some early season injury troubles to become a key figure for Rovers, with Dack losing just one of the 21 league matches in which he has started.

A £750,000 summer addition from Gillingham is focused on helping Rovers to promotion having signed a four year deal with the club in June.

“Right now I’m really enjoying my football and living up north, it’s something I’d like to see out,” Dack said last week.

“My main goal this season is to try and get this team promoted.

“It took me a couple of months to settle in but it’s good up here and I enjoy coming to this place every day, I enjoy being with the boys, they’ve looked after me and it’s something I’m happy to carry on doing.”
