BLACKBURN Rovers boss Owen Coyle has responded to accusations on social media that some players at Cardiff on Wednesday night removed black armbands worn to mark the 16th anniversary of Jack Walker’s death.
Pictures were posted online allegedly showing players not sporting the mark of respect to the former Rovers owner in the second half of the 2-1 defeat by the Bluebirds.

But when asked about the matter, manager Owen Coyle said: “To my knowledge, we all had the black armbands on.
“It was obviously as a mark of respect for Jack Walker’s passing a number of years ago, and everybody had their armbands on.”
