Blackburn Rovers left-back Markus Olsson signs for Derby County

It is understood that Rovers are guaranteed £750,000 for their reigning player of the year.

But the fee could rise to £1m.

Olsson had six months remaining on his current contract and, after talks over a new deal hit deadlock, Rovers agreed to sell him to the big-spending Rams.

The Sweden international, who arrived at Ewood Park on a free transfer from Halmstads BK in January 2012, has penned a three-and-a-half year contract with Derby.
