Weather wrecks Saturday non-league programme

TODAY'S non-league programme has been wrecked by the freezing temperatures with all the area's games being hit.

The big Evo-Stik League Premier Division clash between high-flyers Chorley and Chester FC - which was due to kick-off at 1pm in front of an all-ticket crowd - was called off following a 9am inspection of the Victory Park pitch.

And an hour later Clitheroe's Evo-Stik League First Division North trip to Salford City went the way of the bulk of games and was called off.

The North West Counties League programme was hit hard on Friday night with leaders Ramsbottom United having their clash with Congleton Town at The Riverside Stadium called off last night.

Fellow promotion rivals Barnoldswick Town also had their game with Glossop North End was also put on ice last night because of a frozen surface at the Silentnight Stadium.

Bacup's home game with Winsford was also called off on Friday, while Padiham's trip to Stone Dominoes and Colne's game at St Helens Town also went this morning.

AFC Darwen's Anchor Ground meeting with Cheadle Town is also off - and Nelson's North West Counties League First Division Trophy clash with Formby has been postponed for a fourth time.

Keans position is now untenable he has not got the backing of the fans and obviously the players are not behind him, he is tacticaly inept and clueless no more excuses venkys must sack him with imediate effect. He will no do the honourable thing and resign himself he will sit on his contract untill the Indian idiots finally see how nieve and stupid their actions have proved to be .

Up to last week, "IT" could have played a back four of Salgado, Samba, Nelsen & Givet. "IT" thinks "IT" knows best & gets a 7-1 defeat. As supporters have known for 18 months, "IT" is clueless & even worse is a barefaced liar. I won't be at Ewood again until "IT" & the clueless Indians have gone. I sincerely hope that they have managed to stay in the Championship by then.

LET you are a disgrace every weekend its the same routine cancelled comments on BRFC . What is going on at Ewood is a scandal . Grow a spine please and get involved Rovers are local and big interest in these parts . Come on LET you were quick to jolly it up and increase sales in the mid 90s when Rovers were kings its time for you to get involved .
