  • "Outsung, Outplayed and Outclassed and Out of the Youth Cup!
    Facts boys facts.
We gave you the penalty just so you could remind us you'd turned up cos we didn't hear a peep from you all night.
Where was your famous vocal support?
That poisonious little No.2 should have gone for his frustrated lunge at end&did anybody notice he had a striking resemblance to the Padiham wife beater? Same glazed look in his eyes&plate feet running style. The b4st4rd son of Payton possiblly from the famed Bonley way of "keeping it in the family".
And finally a message to the kn0b with the 80's back perm and the Trelleborg shirt, as we sat on the coach desperate to escape that dump. That little blip in our proud history was nearly 20years ago and we've won the Premier League and the League Cup since then. Maybe he's a fitting tribute to the success starved years Burnley have had, always looking back and not towards the future. Your away ends certainly a throw back to the 70's. How did that ever pass the "fit for purpose" test for the Prem League? Or did you get a special dispensation cos they knew you'd only be there 1 season?"

FULL-TIME: Burnley 1, Blackburn Rovers 2 (1-3 on agg)

THE FA Youth Cup semi-final second leg between Burnley and Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor resulted in a win for the visitors, and a place in the final.

After a goalless first half, Hugo Fernandez broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, giving Rovers a 2-0 lead on aggregate.

Osayamen Osawe's initial shot was blocked by Alex Coleman, but the ball ran free for winger Fernandez, who fired a low shot across goalkeeper Joshua Cook into the bottom right corner.

Ryan Edwards doubled their lead on the night three minutes later, straight from a long range free kick that, making it almost an impossible task for the hard-working home side.

But Burnley refused to give up, and were awarded a penalty in the 85th minute, after Adam Henley handled Luke Conlan's left-wing cross.

Blackburn goalkeeper Matthew Urwin was booked for knocking the ball off the spot as Steven Hewitt waited to take it. But the midfielder refused to be put off and finished well for a hard-earned consolation.

Rovers will meet the winners of Manchester United v Chelsea in a two-legged final.
