ROBBIE Brady is determined to repay the faith shown in him by Sean Dyche after he came Burnley's record signing.

The £13million man was announced as a Burnley player at half-time in the 1-0 win over Leicester City on Tuesday night after a transfer saga that lasted most of the January window.

He was in the stands at Turf Moor to watch his new teammates rack up a seventh successive home win, thanks to Sam Vokes' late goal.

But the Republic of Ireland international was happy to see his move from Norwich City finally get over the line, with the Canaries managing to bring in late replacements that saw them finally given the green light for Brady to sign with the Clarets.

"It's a great move for me," said the 25-year-old.

"It's where everybody wants to be and for me to get the opportunity, and the manager to give me the opportunity, to come and play in it again is fantastic.

"I will grab it with both hands and hopefully I can do my bit to help the lads."

Burnley's victory over the champions moved them back into the top half of the Premier League table, and former Hull City winger Brady said: "It's been a fantastic start to the season and it looks like a club going in the right direction. I'm just buzzing that the manager has showed enough faith in me to want to bring me here and hopefully I can repay him.

"I'm ready to work hard and learn how things work here and hopefully I can fit in and do my bit."

Brady spent several hours at Turf Moor before signing his three-and-a-half year deal and then watched the win over the Foxes from the directors box.

"I thought the lads were amazing and it was a fantastic start for me to come and witness them play like that and get the win they deserved," he said.

"Hopefully I can help add a few more wins to the board.

"I have always enjoyed coming to play here. I have played here on numerous occasions now and getting to feel the atmosphere I felt tonight was excellent and I'm ready to go."

Brady is the third current Republic of Ireland international to become a part of Dyche's squad, joining Stephen Ward and Jeff Hendrick in the ranks.

Brady and Hendrick grew up in the same Dublin neighbourhood and played junior football together for St Kevin's Boys before progressing through the international age groups.

And Hendrick, who was Burnley's record signing before Brady's arrival, has backed his mate to make an impact at Turf Moor.

"It's great for me to have another friend here. I think he will be brilliant for the team," said Hendrick.

"He's another good lad and I think everyone will see how good he is.

"He's got lots of qualities. I think everyone has seen it over the last few years, whether it was with Norwich, Hull, Ireland, and now he's going to be ready to show them here.

"He's got a great left foot and you could go on all day and talk about how good he can be for us and he's just got to show it now."
