BURNLEY have had a bid rejected by Derby County for midfielder Jeff Hendrick.
The Rams have turned down £3.5million for the 24-year-old, who impressed for the Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016.
The Clarets are in the market for midfield reinforcements this summer having seen Joey Barton depart for Rangers on a free transfer.
But Derby are determined to hang on to Hendrick, who has two years remaining on his contract at the iPro Stadium.
He has played his entire professional career in England with Derby, having joined as a youngster from St Kevin's Boys.
And the Dublin-born man played all four games for Martin O'Neill's side at the European Championships, taking him to 25 caps.
Middlesbrough and Hull City, who were promoted to the Premier League with Burnley last year, are also rumoured to be interested in Hendrick, as are Derby's Championship rivals Fulham.
