BURNLEY have signed former Leicester and Watford winger Lloyd Dyer on a deal until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old was a free agent after parting company with Watford earlier this month.
And Clarets boss Sean Dyche feels that, with two promotions on his CV, Dyer has the experience and desire that he is looking for as Burnley push for a return to the Premier League.
“Lloyd had come out of his situation at Watford and is very experienced and we still feel he has something to offer," said Dyche.
“He has been involved with two promoted teams, so he brings that experience, but he’s also different to what we already have at the club.
“He is direct and has pace, so he adds a different aspect to our game and the squad.
“Lloyd hasn’t come here for money; he’s come here to be a part of something and he wanted that challenge.
“He knows that we are going well and he knows it’s not an easy task to get in the team, but that’s the challenge that’s in front of him.”
