JELLE Vossen scored on his unofficial Burnley debut, but it was Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman who was celebrating in his testimonial game.

The Reds raced into a 3-0 lead after just 10 minutes with goals from Seamus Conneely, Matt Crooks and Sean McConville.

Lukas Jutkiewicz reduced the deficit from the penalty spot, after being brought down by Tom Davies.

Vossen had a goal ruled out for a foul by Jutkiewicz in the build-up, but went on to pounce to make it 3-2 when Matt Taylor's effort was blocked.

Burnley fielded a stronger side in the second half, changing all 10 outfield players, but struggled to make the number of chances they had in the first.

Marvin Sordell had a low shot saved by Jason Mooney, and Cameron Dummigan's cross hit the roof of the net. But other than that there was little to trouble Mooney, or his second half replacement Ross Etheridge.

At the other end Billy Kee should have buried his chance from Adam Morgan's cross at the near left post.

But when ex-Claret Shay McCartan's cross was deflected Crooks stabbed in for his second and Stanley's fourth to secure a rare win over their neighbours.
