ALAN Pardew has praised the job done by Sean Dyche at Burnley - but wants to put his admiration of his opposite number to one side tomorrow.

Pardew took over at Crystal Palace on January 2 and on Saturday he brings a team to Turf Moor for the second time this season, having been Newcastle boss when they shared the points in a 1-1 draw early in December.

“Sean has instilled in Burnley a great attitude, work-rate and commitment and no shortage of skill either – a couple of their players are top class, that’s how you get out of the Championship,” Pardew said.

“He has built on that and they have been fabulous in terms of the resources they have to work with.

“But we have to put all that admiration to one side and make sure we beat them.”

“I am probably armed like no other Premier League manager in that I have already been there this season.

“I can arm the team with what to expect, it is tough, and it is a different game to Spurs.”
