EDDIE Howe is understood to have agreed terms to become Burnley's new manager, and could be unveiled at Turf Moor at the weekend.

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell is believed to have agreed a compensation package with the Clarets - in the region of £300,000 for both Howe and assistant boss Jason Tindall - leaving Howe free to hold what appear to have been successful discussions with Burnley chairman Barry Kilby.

The 33-year-old is still set to take charge of the Cherries for their televised game at Colchester United tonight, which will be his 100th game in charge.

But he is expected to head straight to Turf Moor afterwards, where he is likely to be in the stand for tomorrow's visit of QPR.
