Absent Diouf faces Blackburn Rovers disciplinary

ABSENT star El-Hadji Diouf looks set to face disciplinary measures when he return to training with Blackburn Rovers.

Confusion still surrounds Diouf’s whereabouts, with the 30-year-old yet to report back for pre-season amid an uncertain future at Rovers, and the Senegal international looks likely to face a club fine when he finally returns to the fold.

Sources close to Diouf have suggested that Rovers gave the player permission to return to training late in order to fulfil charity commitments, but club insiders are said to be puzzled by his absence.

Diouf spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers and has been told by Rovers boss Steve Kean that he is likely to be down the club’s pecking order this season.

What did Kean expect after saying he wouldnt be close to the first team!
Football365 linking us with Honda the Jap from CSKA, £12 million! Though its says Allardyce is facing competition for his name.......so probably not too reliable, oh well at least we still have Grellla.

Looks like EHD is in breach of contract, The club should cancel the contract and sue him for the value of the contract.

Skysports.com understands that Blackburn Rovers are ready to make a bid for Japanese superstar Keisuke Honda.

A host of clubs have been linked with the CSKA Moscow midfielder, with clubs in England, Italy, Spain and France all said to be keen.

But Rovers are now ready to try and make a move for the 25-year-old and are prepared to bid £12million for his signature.

Honda has been linked with a move away from Russia all summer and although he insists he is happy in Moscow, a move to one of Europe's top leagues is sure to appeal to the former VVV Venlo ace.

Now this guy's a player!!! Fingers crossed.

He would expect him to show up and train like all the others who, at the end of the day, are getting paid by the club. If he doesn't like it, then request a move. I'm sure Rovers won't stand in his way. Until then, he should toe the line like everyone else.

Another example of a well organised club committed to the cause lead by a thinking Manager. Are we still waiting for Hoillet to sign a new contract or is he like the supporters waiting for an indication of the quality of signings before he signs. Life just gets better

And this time in English so we can understand you, as most of us dont speak dingle.

@ everyone else Junior is more than likely holding off putting his name to the contract, so he can see who we are signing. please dont say well we need to hurry up and sign someone, transfers dont work like that, you dont know who we have tried to sign then to be told they are not for sale. Talk about "rovers tinted glasses" !!
.
Which "great players" are we bring linked with ??
.
Which great players do we ever buy ?
.
So far we have sold our best player (PJ) and our 2nd best player also wants to leave (CS) and so far our best attacking player has not extended his contract (jnr H).
.
We have FAILED to sign at least 3 of our stated MAIN targets - JJ, Cisse, Witxel but have signed BENJANI, M Anderson, T Warner all on FREEs (non of whom I believe would make the Burnley starting line up as automatic selections).
.
We are now trying to sign a 29 yr old Argie who's carear seems to have been unraveling over the past few years but we expect him to come to the north of England, to a different, climate, culture, language and style of football and suddenly turn around his footballing fortunes ?
.
We might be spending £2.5m on a young up and coming player from Monaco who MIGHT be a decent player in a few years but it UNREALISTIC to expect him to slot straight in at CH in the PL and do the business from day 1.
.
As for Rochina and Formica, non of us know how they will adapt but for you to simply be "stars of the season" is you just grasping at straws probably because we HAVENT signed anyone who does look like he will star for us.
.
Look at the SPINE of our team (as it stands) - GK - ROBINSON - fine.
.
CH - Samba + ???????
.
Midfield, currently we have only Nzonzi who I think is PROVEN PL standard.
.
Forwards - NO-ONE (last two seasons in PL we our forwards have scored the least number of goals of any team).
.
I am sorry but if you think we currently have a strong team and the coming season is filled with glory and trophies then I suggest you either up or change your medication as it simply isnt working.
.
If we do not get QUALITY players in KEY areas (ie through the spine) then make no mistake - we are playing for that 17th spot !!

Since your first post on here all that time ago you have done nothing NOTHING but moan and cry like a kid!!

Yes things are not great and without 4 (at least) good players coming in we will struggle (i am still not conviced over kean either) but we are trying to bring people in to improve the team, have you ever thought that clubs are over pricing players as they think/know we have more money?

stop moaning and support the team you claim to support!

I do "SUPPORT" my team and I will give VENKIES credit when they EARN IT - ie when they spend some of those MULTI MILLION ££££s on decent players.
(like I did in Jan cos they said they'd spend £5m and they did).
.
Do you not think my assement of our signings and current squad is accurate ? - and if not where is it inaccurate ??
.
So **** you a$$hole, instead of just slagging me off why don't don't you say where you think my assensment is inaccurate - you can't because its pretty much CORRECT.
.
You're prob one of those titheads who think that just cos our owner says we'll finish top 8 and we'll win a cup then it'll happen !!

J.C - Rishton says...
12:45pm Sat 16 Jul 11

Robbie the manc a$$hole - I never mentioned SK in my post, did I ??
.
Also, if clubs are "overpricing" cos they think we've got money, why does that justify signing freebie after freebie??
.
How are we improving our side by resigning BENJANI ?? - please can the moron from Manchester answer that cos I'd love to have it explained to me (and don't give me this, he's a squad member so its ok to sign crap squad players - thats just rubbish - how often do Man U, City, Chelsea sign crap just to fill uo their squad, they may make bad signings - but thats not the same thing).
.
Benjani, scored 3 PL goals last season, he spent quite alot of it injured. He spent the previous 4 season injured, he is now 1 yr older, therefore, another yard slower and more likely to pick up injuries and slower to recover from them.
.
How does this signing equate with your statement of "we are continuing to improve the team" ????
