ACCRINGTON Stanley chiefs have promised that all of the transfer funds for the sale of Bobby Grant will be reinvested in the playing squad.

Grant was unveiled as a Scunthorpe United player yesterday with the fee likely to be decided by a tribunal.

Accrington’s chief executive Rob Heys has pledged to give all of the funds from the move back to boss John Coleman – but that money will not be available until after the tribunal, which may not happen for months.

“It does leave a big hole and he will have to be replaced,” said Heys.

“We have told John that every penny of the money we receive will go straight into his budget.”
