Nsiala agrees one-year deal with Accrington Stanley

Toto Nsiala will return to Accrington Stanley next season after penning a permanent contract with the Crown Ground club.

The defender has agreed a one-year-deal to join the Reds when his Everton contract expires at the end of June.

Pity it's not longer, if he continues to improve he could be worth a tidy sum. Looks like we are having to go back to short contracts, a shame really

I really would like to understand the reason for giving one year contracts. Any ideas at all as to why it's a good idea anyone..? Surely it's beneficial for the club in terms of keeping players and the players themselves in terms of financial security for deals to be longer than just one season?

I don't mean to sound disappointed because Toto's a good little player. I'd just hate to see a bigger club nick him for nothing at the end of the season!
