ACCRINGTON Stanley board members look set to meet today in a bid to resolve the club’s financial issues.

Stanley climbed to 11th in League Two with a fourth win in five games, and are now hoping to banish their off-the-field problems following a lengthy ownership struggle.

Former chairman Eric Whalley agreed a settlement in principle two weeks ago to relinquish his major shareholding.

Stanley won thanks to a Sean Hessey free kick and two penalties from Phil Edwards, although boss John Coleman saw room for improvement.

“We’re a bit disappointed with the way we gave away possession in the second half,” he said. “But you can’t complain with winning 3-0.”
