INDIAN firm Venky’s are believed to have made further progress in their efforts to secure the purchase of Blackburn Rovers with neither party forseeing any complications.
National reports over the weekend claimed the involvement of sport agency Kentaro had stalled the deal but the Lancashire Telegraph understand these claims are unfounded.
Sources close to Venky’s camp have revealed prospective owners, Balaji and Venkatesh Rao, enjoyed their first visit to Ewood Park on a match day on Saturday and are relishing taking control of Rovers.
While the deal is yet to be signed and sealed, no one is expecting any problems and Venky’s still believe it could be sorted by as early as later this week.
