SAURIN Shah is not on the brink of completing a Blackburn Rovers takeover, contrary to widespread reports today.
The Lancashire Telegraph can reveal negotiations are ongoing with the little-known Mumbai entrepreneur but the process of due diligence – opening up the accounts – has not been reached.
Sources close to Mr Shah and close to Blackburn Rovers have both confirmed today's reports were premature as talks continue over the club’s future.
While Mr Shah remains interested in purchasing the club from the Walker Trust, the Telegraph understand they are not the only interested party as all options are explored.
Neither Mr Shah nor Rovers can comment on the ongoing process though due to the signing of a Non Disclosure Agreement.
