Chorley’s band of loyal fans, already the envy of many UniBond clubs, have been asked to perform a different role.
The board of directors are appealing for volunteers to come along on March 7 and help give the ground a thorough clean-up.
This is vital work in the club’s attempts to obtain their Grade D ground grading from the Football Association and UniBond League.
Commercial director Geoff Haslam explained: “Victory Park needs some general housekeeping, so we are hoping to see as many people as possible at the ground on Sunday morning around 10am.
“We need assistance in general cleaning and sweeping up, so if anyone could spare a few hours during the day it would be much appreciated.
“If everyone could bring stiff brushes and shovels with them that would be a great help.
"We need that ground grading.”
