I DON’T think there was a lot of difference between Blackburn Rovers and Burnley on Sunday.

Burnley had as many chances as Blackburn but they just let in bad goals again.

There were schoolboy errors for two of the goals, although I have to say that the local lad David Dunn had a good game for Blackburn.

Overall Blackburn did maybe do a bit more but Brian Jensen didn’t have many saves to make.

There isn’t a lot of difference between the two sides at all, and I think that’s the same for a lot of teams apart from the top six.

I think, or at least I’m certainly hoping, that we’ll do better when we play them at Turf Moor with the crowd behind us.

My brother came down from Scotland at the weekend and we watched the game at Rolls Royce in Barnoldswick.

The place was packed and it erupted when Robbie Blake scored.

I quite enjoyed watching the game, it was just a shame it wasn’t the right result.

Obviously people were disappointed at the end and some looked to blame the defence. But the players don’t mean to make mistaskes, they always try 100 per cent and I think most realise that.

The fans are fully behind the team. We’ve come out of the Championship and into the Premier League, and whatever happens this season it will be a season we won’t forget.

I thought beforehand that we would get a draw and if we could have gone in 2-1 down at half time it might have been different, but again we conceded a goal at a bad time and it was a big ask to come back from 3-1 down.

We didn’t really look likely to score after that, although we did get a goal at the end which changed things a bit.

And I didn’t think it was a foul on Jensen for Franco Di Santo’s goal.

I think it was Stephen Jordan who did nudge him and then Graham Alexander might have meant to head it over the bar but unfortunately it went back across goal.

Burnley might have to look again at how they play away from home because they’re still to get a point away this season.

They maybe need to try to play a bit more defensively, although I’m not sure Owen will want to change how they play.

But it does put pressure on them to get results at home.

We’ve got Wigan and Hull at home in our next two games and I think we have to be looking at getting six points.
