THERE’S no doubt about it – tomorrow’s home match with Leicester is as tough as it gets.

But, call me crazy, I genuinely believe we can beat them – so much so I’ve had a little bet.

A fella I sit with in the pub is a massive Leicester fan and he reckons their run is going to continue at Ewood but I’ve had a wager with him that we’ll get a win.

The odds might be against me, what with Leicester unbeaten in 16 matches.

But we have seen this season that Blackburn can raise their game for the matches against the top teams in the division.

The best example for me was the 0-0 draw at QPR. No-one expected us to get anything out of the game, especially after it came on the back of that horrible defeat at Ipswich, but we stepped up a gear and got a really good point.

It’s a similar situation tomorrow as nobody is expecting Blackburn to get a result.

If we could get a result it would be a massive boost to our chances of staying in touch with the play-off places.

It’s going to be a tall order so we’ve got nothing to lose.

We took that attitude into the game at Huddersfield on Saturday and we ended up getting a great result.

It was great to be back to winning ways and see Jordan Rhodes well and truly back in the goals, we couldn’t have asked for more after the last few results.

I know fans must be scratching their heads at how we could go and score four at Huddersfield after losing at home to Bournemouth.

But you’ve got to remember we are a developing side who, like I’ve said many times, are still getting used to the way Gary Bowyer wants them to play.

And you’ve got to remember this is a funny division, one which can spring surprise results at any stage but particularly at this time of the season.

Hopefully we’ll get a pleasant surprise tomorrow.
