Blackburn Rovers confirm friendlies

BLACKBURN Rovers have confirmed pre-season friendlies against Wrexham, Rochdale and Preston – with more games to follow.

Rovers will travel to Wrexham on Saturday, July 6 before making the trip to Rochdale two weeks later on Saturday, July 20. Both games kick-off at 3pm.

A fixture against Preston at Deepdale follows on Tuesday, July 23 at 7.45pm, while Rovers are also in talks to arrange a friendly against Premier League opposition at Ewood Park on Saturday, July 27.

Rovers’ squad will head to Portugal for a week-long training camp in between their matches against Wrexham and Rochdale, with the possibility of a friendly also taking place during their visit.

Sad to see no Rovers vs Stanley game, as Stanley are the financially poorest team in the league and there's usually quite a good gate. I suppose Rovers are afraid they'll get beat again and lose more supporters to their local rivals.
COME ON STANLEY! COME ON ROVERS!

Why not arrange a friendly with AFC Darwen, after all you will be squatting there in a season or two when financial ruin kicks you out of business and you reform as Shadsworth Rovers Dons.

Who will Bunley be hurling their bottles of urine at this year? To be fair though they have to pi$$ somewhere after leaving a trail of vandalised toilets in their wake.
