Half-time: Blackburn 1 Brighton 0
8:43pm Tuesday 22nd January 2013 in Football
A JORDAN Rhodes penalty on the stroke of half-time has given Blackburn Rovers the lead against Brighton at Ewood Park.
Rovers dominated the first period of the Championship clash but failed to make a breakthrough until Morten Gamst Pedersen was fouled by Adam El-Abd as he went for a Martin Olsson cross.
Rhodes did the rest from 12 yards to make it 1-0 as Rovers look for a first win for new boss Michael Appleton.

I'm just hoping this will be one of the games that we add to the goal, instead of sitting back and drawing.
We're going for it though!

Would have been a good platform to get our 2013 on the run but it's a long season. The FA Cup break might be a good time for Appleton to further assess the players as we come near the end of the transfer window.

Gutted. Absolutely gutted. At least we went down as the better team, showing we can beat teams also going for play-offs. Hopefully the players can use a big set back like this as motivation and not let it get them down.
