Thats less than 1% of fans who attend games (quite a few on here haven't since Venky's arrival).

Not a real indicator really.

Plus there are just as many of us that aren't neighsaying doomies and gloomy horse whispers.

A bad game brings bad press. Its the same everywhere except there's a link to bad ownership and management with the quality of players and performance at Rovers.

I wouldn't be too quick to judge all Rovers support to be the same - especially since its not your club and you have no idea how folks feel around here.

Fans swallowed the media advertising a circus at Ewood Park and became "Fans."

If these muppets reckon blathering about getting Appleton, Berg, Hendry, Agnew, Singh, Shaw, the Rao's, Steve Kean, Jake Kean, the club shop staff, ball boys, mascots, tea ladies etc out the club will help the club they are deluded. Basically thats exactly what they are, DELUDED, and they have been for a few years.

If only these "supporters" knew how to sieve through the stories they read/heard then there wouldn't be any issues.

I think we have to be a bit more discerning than just cut the squad to the bone.

What I'm seeing on the pitch is a shambolic collection of players without a plan, no shape, no strategy, no leadership or direction, some playing out of position and few prepared physically or mentally enough to move 'off the ball'.

I think we certainly need a centre mid and centre half but frankly bringing in new players is pointless if the team overall is not organised tactically and fit enough to compete.

Not MA's fault, but it's his job now to fix it.

spot-on about not blaming Appleton...I cant believe the number of posters that come on here and blame the manager after one (yes just one) single game in charge when it's obvious to everyone (almost everyone) that it was the vast majority of the players in blue and white shirts on the pitch that let the club down. Not the manager. Judge the manager at the end of the season when he has had chance to boot the overpaid lazy chancers out of the club. Which he will. Cut the squad to the bone if needed to get them out MA - but get them out you must.

What I'm seeing on the pitch is a shambolic collection of players without a plan, no shape, no strategy, no leadership or direction, some playing out of position and few prepared physically or mentally enough to move 'off the ball'.

I think we certainly need a centre mid and centre half but frankly bringing in new players is pointless if the team overall is not organised tactically and fit enough to compete.

Not MA's fault, but it's his job now to fix it.

GS, ok I am not FR but usually I will look to put a positive spin on any result because at the end of the day there are usually two teams out there on the pitch trying to win the game, and there isn't a team in the world that wins every game they play.

Trust me, the last thing I want to do is add to the negativity surrounding everything going on at Ewood but even now in the cold light of day I can't see a single thing about yesterday I can latch onto.

Not even what was a well taken goal, believe me I was ready to walk out at half time.

Enough is enough from these players, they have no heart, no balls, no pride.

Sorry have to disagree with your last point, the poisonous atmosphere, created by the fans at the majority of home games last season played a huge part in getting us relegated.

Visiting managers from Bolton, West Brom, Bolton all said after the games that they knew they could, and did use the Rovers fans hatred of Kean to affect the Rovers players.

Blind hatred cost us, just as it will cost us this season.

Yes, but that is too simplistic to just blame supporters for the bad atmosphere - ultimately the OWNERS have to take that blame because they create the situation where supporters become unhappy and bad atmosphere then follows - we are human beings and when human beings are unhappy and upset the complain and lashout - that is HUMAN NATURE, thats not just at Rovers either, look at Chelsea, the owner did something he KNEW would upset most of his fans, yet he did it anyway and by doing so, a bad atmosphere is created at Stamford bridge, thereofre the owner NOT the Chelsea fans are to blame - same at Rovers.

Answer to why Gary Bowyer didn't get the job is he stated clearly he didn't want it. He even turned down Appleton's offer to work with the first team which shows its little to do with politics and more to do with job satisfaction.

Bowyer is a specialist in his area and clearly enjoys discovering fresh talents and his pride in Phil Jones etc that he talked about is indicative of that fact.

The pitiful board room antics that Venky's brought with them and created are unlikely to just go away. Michael claims he has the full backing of the owners to make hiring and firing decisions, he should be capable of rising above it and at the moment there is little reason to doubt he can do it.

The media loves to focus on the boardroom divisions, blowing them well out of proportion; but on the pitch shouldn't these over-paid ball kicking so-called professionals should be well able to put aside any off-field shenanigans and concentrate on playing football for 90 mins??

And lastly to the fans, you are right that Rovers fans need to wake up to reality and realise we may well be here for a while and dwelling on where we were and how we got here is not going to get us back to the premiership.

But this is where I am at a loss.

Boycotting, protesting and demanding Venky's leave seems to be the order of the day, and this is coming from seemingly intelligent individuals like Mullan and co, which further derails any attempt to bringing stability to the club. Any fans like myself and others who try to rise above the boardroom circus and do what fans are supposed to do and support the team are called traitors and considered to be part of the problem.
So what do these groups want? We mass boycott the club and what? How do they expect this would play out?
Too many fans have been haemorrhaged by the dream of fan ownership and cannot see past the this misled dream. For this to happen, the unthinkable has now become sadly thinkable.

All the things people have posted on this article about what MA needs to do player-wise are sensible. But as fans we also have a role to play. Yesterday the atmosphere was rank. Anti-Venky's chanting was louder than the support itself, whilst the play on the field was even worse. As the twelfth man, we could motivate and raise the team spirit, its what fans do.

But it looks like that is the one support that Michael Appleton will have to do without as the support won't come back unless a play-off place looks likely for many of Rovers fanbase.

Answer to why Gary Bowyer didn't get the job is he stated clearly he didn't want it. He even turned down Appleton's offer to work with the first team which shows its little to do with politics and more to do with job satisfaction.

Bowyer is a specialist in his area and clearly enjoys discovering fresh talents and his pride in Phil Jones etc that he talked about is indicative of that fact.

The pitiful board room antics that Venky's brought with them and created are unlikely to just go away. Michael claims he has the full backing of the owners to make hiring and firing decisions, he should be capable of rising above it and at the moment there is little reason to doubt he can do it.

The media loves to focus on the boardroom divisions, blowing them well out of proportion; but on the pitch shouldn't these over-paid ball kicking so-called professionals should be well able to put aside any off-field shenanigans and concentrate on playing football for 90 mins??

And lastly to the fans, you are right that Rovers fans need to wake up to reality and realise we may well be here for a while and dwelling on where we were and how we got here is not going to get us back to the premiership.

But this is where I am at a loss.

Boycotting, protesting and demanding Venky's leave seems to be the order of the day, and this is coming from seemingly intelligent individuals like Mullan and co, which further derails any attempt to bringing stability to the club. Any fans like myself and others who try to rise above the boardroom circus and do what fans are supposed to do and support the team are called traitors and considered to be part of the problem.

All the things people have posted on this article about what MA needs to do player-wise are sensible. But as fans we also have a role to play. Yesterday the atmosphere was rank. Anti-Venky's chanting was louder than the support itself, whilst the play on the field was even worse. As the twelfth man, we could motivate and raise the team spirit, its what fans do.

But it looks like that is the one support that Michael Appleton will have to do without as the support won't come back unless a play-off place looks likely for many of Rovers fanbase.

I agree with some of what you say especially in terms the quality of the squad and their willingness to work and close players down. As for Bowyer I do not agree with your comments, he clearly got better out of the players over the 4 games of his tenure than Appleton managed today.

I havent seen the film but walked past the row of Rolls and it did stick in my throat. Thought it was in bad taste and inappropriate and wondered where their PR advisor was. Clearly Venkys are out of touch not just with their football club and fans but with other people's lives. They are completely disassociated with normal life in England and probably in India. I did see some grown men, faces covered with hoods and scarves running round to the entrance as they knew Venkys were leaving. It was worrying. They were aggressive and shouting violent threats and were obviously not normal supporters. Seemed to be there just to cause trouble. I hope they were apprehended.

On a less positive note - I just watched the video of the our owners arriving and was appalled to see what was a very rare opportunity to protest strongly but fairly against the Venky's (before during and after the game) turned into something that more closely resembled an EDL rally as the morons infiltrated it and cast further shame on the club. The hatred and abuse was clear to see and hear. For those fans asking why the Venkys didn't stay till the end of the match - well there is your answer - watch the video! In fact I am surprised they stayed to watch any of the game after that disgrace. They would have expected a protest but not one like that.

But what a shot in the foot it would be for all of us if we the protest have screwed up the sale of the club. It is just possible that the Venkys could have had a potential buyer for the club with their entourage at the match. That could have been their reason for all of them making such a rare visit. seen the first one!.......the only footage I've seen was the piece on the football league show I sky + and what I saw looked tame.

Would like to see the 'two' videos if they give a different slant

On a less positive note - I just watched the video of the our owners arriving and was appalled to see what was a very rare opportunity to protest strongly but fairly against the Venky's (before during and after the game) turned into something that more closely resembled an EDL rally as the morons infiltrated it and cast further shame on the club. The hatred and abuse was clear to see and hear. For those fans asking why the Venkys didn't stay till the end of the match - well there is your answer - watch the video! In fact I am surprised they stayed to watch any of the game after that disgrace. They would have expected a protest but not one like that.

There goes any chance of getting our midfielder and centre half now...

Those same fans were obviously
'proper' fans or else why would they be at the ground! I watched the clip and although I don't agree with the chanting (didn't hear anything abusive not saying there wasn't) but I kinda of understand it..........see it from these fans point FR......paying thier hard earned money every week only to see the club they love being dismantled
bit by bit making it resembling nothing like the club they supported 2 years previous...

......Then a convey of Rolls Royces pulling up similar to you'd expect at the oscars with occupants
giving the impression that they're doing the fans a favour by gracing them with their presents....the same occupants who are solely responsible for the demise of our club.......I don't blame these fans one iota .......BRFC is a plaything for Venkeys always has and always will be....can't possible hurt as much for me and you FR because we are distanced from the turmoil surrounding the club.....living up there with all the negativity most be soul destroying for the real fans.....so I understand any fans frustration!

did you watch the second video Iiii1111 as it was clear on there...but its done now and we will have to live with the consequences....and I think there will be consequences but lord knows what they will be.

But what a shot in the foot it would be for all of us if we the protest have screwed up the sale of the club. It is just possible that the Venkys could have had a potential buyer for the club with their entourage at the match. That could have been their reason for all of them making such a rare visit. No-one seems to have thought of that possibility?

On a less positive note - I just watched the video of the our owners arriving and was appalled to see what was a very rare opportunity to protest strongly but fairly against the Venky's (before during and after the game) turned into something that more closely resembled an EDL rally as the morons infiltrated it and cast further shame on the club. The hatred and abuse was clear to see and hear. For those fans asking why the Venkys didn't stay till the end of the match - well there is your answer - watch the video! In fact I am surprised they stayed to watch any of the game after that disgrace. They would have expected a protest but not one like that.

It is just possible that the Venkys could have had a potential buyer for the club with their entourage at the match. That could have been their reason for all of them making such a rare visit. No-one seems to have thought of that possibility?

seen the first one!.......the only footage I've seen was the piece on the football league show I sky + and what I saw looked tame.

On a less positive note - I just watched the video of the our owners arriving and was appalled to see what was a very rare opportunity to protest strongly but fairly against the Venky's (before during and after the game) turned into something that more closely resembled an EDL rally as the morons infiltrated it and cast further shame on the club. The hatred and abuse was clear to see and hear. For those fans asking why the Venkys didn't stay till the end of the match - well there is your answer - watch the video! In fact I am surprised they stayed to watch any of the game after that disgrace. They would have expected a protest but not one like that.

Fans swallowed the media advertising a circus at Ewood Park and became "Fans."

If these muppets reckon blathering about getting Appleton, Berg, Hendry, Agnew, Singh, Shaw, the Rao's, Steve Kean, Jake Kean, the club shop staff, ball boys, mascots, tea ladies etc out the club will help the club they are deluded. Basically thats exactly what they are, DELUDED, and they have been for a few years.

I do actually agree.... Started thinking this when some posters suggested who should be the next manager or that we need to bring John Williams back.

Most suggestions of who to be next manager were, to be realistic and honest, highly delusional and backwards. Calls for Dalglish and Souness back - there success was 10 years + ago.

Dalgishs' success with us was around 20 years ago, a lot has changed. You can see how out of touch he was when he came back to manage Liverpool.

John Williams will never come back, he's worked his was to the top (Manchester City), so why would he come back. He left shortly after the Venky's took over. Despite us being the fans, we have no control at all.

The atmosphere from the start at Ewood was poor, it was like a ghost ship. Then Appleton was supposed to lead players (of which some seem to choose when to play well) to a win in his first game. Unrealistic.

A top manager wouldn't of accepted a contract with us if the fans keep battling an unwinnable battle with the Venky's. If the Venky's pack their bags, it'll have nothing to do with the actions of the fans. They are billionaires, you're hardly hurting their pockets by boycotting.

However it's not the fans to blame for the past two years can I just add, that is the Venky's fault, Jerome Anderson etc..! Just a combination of a poor atmosphere and the players not even turning up was our reason for defeat.

Sorry have to disagree with your last point, the poisonous atmosphere, created by the fans at the majority of home games last season played a huge part in getting us relegated.

Visiting managers from Bolton, West Brom, Bolton all said after the games that they knew they could, and did use the Rovers fans hatred of Kean to affect the Rovers players.

Blind hatred cost us, just as it will cost us this season.

To only join in a discussion when you are able to raise extremist subjects suggests you are one of a minority of trouble makers, plants that are designed to stoke something that isnt there. Since the war, we've spent more time outside the top division than in it.
Let's get a mind set of being a provincial club in a town of decined economic power doing well to hold onto a good heritage, proud to punch above our weight. A bit of modesty, some good longterm planning, reasonable and realistic expectation and who knows we might start doing OK again. This was the very course we were on until the Venkys disaster.
But there's no sugar daddy out there - the best we can do is hope to emulate the sensible pattern in recent year set by Stoke, Swansea and even by our dear neighbour and sensible former Rover - Davie Whelan down the road at Wigan.
That won't happen until Venkys, Singh and these small timers like Agnew go and we get a decent EXPERIENCED manager like Souey, King Kenny and yes, even Big Sam. And a responsible management. And a club owned at least in part. like Swansea, by the fans.

I certainly hope you are right and they aren't Rovers fans at all. The reason I have only just surfaced is that after watching the video I was that incensed that I had to say something that I joined the telegraph forum. I am not an infiltrator as you say, I don't make the ones on the video look bad, it is them that are making me look bad.
