HALF TIME: Burnley 0 Blackburn Rovers 0

THE East Lancashire derby remains all square at half time after two fine saves from Paul Robinson.

Burnley were on the front foot for most of the half with Chris McCann slicing an effort wide and Jason Shackell lashing over after Robinson had palmed out Ross Wallace’s cross-shot.

Danny Murphy put a shot wide at the other end but Robinson then saved a long-range effort from Wallace before making an impressive stop to keep out Charlie Austin’s goalbound header.

And he made another particularly important stop to deny Martin Paterson’s curling effort just before half time.

A good point but sounds like we should have pushed on to get a second goal to ensure the 3 points, instead of sitting back for the 1-0 win? The misery for the clarets goes on.... haha!

Congratulations to all our Dingle friends, you managed to scrape a draw in your cup final.

For Blackburn just another away point and more evidence of how far we have fallen in two years.
