Orr clearly indicted where his personal loyalties lay, in the mistaken belief that Kean was untouchable and going nowhere.
Great to see him shipped out and replaced with a talented young man who wants to play for Rovers.
Hendry, Dunn and Agnew watch your backs.

"The gaffer stood out there tonight and took a lot of stick, I've got nothing but admiration and respect for him," Orr said.
"He's done everything he could to push us in the right direction and motivate us.
"The tactics, training, everything - one man who can look in the mirror and say he's given everything is the manager.
"I'll speak for the dressing room and thank him for what he's done, he's taken things on the chin that he shouldn't have had to.
"The supporters voice their opinions in whatever way they want towards the owners, the players and the manager. Sometimes a line can be crossed and the way the gaffer's handled things is exemplary.
"He's certainly the best I've worked with as far as managers go.
"It's easy for people to pass the buck but the reality is the group of players fell short, it's us that need to take responsibility.
"We've let the gaffer down because everything he's done has been geared to pushing us forward and we haven't done that."
--------------
Those were Orr's words after relegation. I sometimes struggle with attitudes on this matter, i doubt he would have spoken for the dressing room if the rest of the team weren't with him. Certainly bar, a few players who were benched for openly being critical about Kean's tactics, there wasnt a lot of noise from the other players in protest. Yak even went and celebrated with Kean after scoring (and was boo-ed in the process).
My point is, whatever fans felt about Kean, was surely more about his PR gaffs and the results on the ground. How he was personally to people around him, only those who were there would know, and if Orr felt the manager gave it his all and was getting a harder time than he should, surely that was his opinion? Kean himself stated that Venkys had tied his hands and were not allowing him free reign to run his team, if it hadnt been for the fact that he fell foul of the fans over his drink spiking comments and later the Big Sam snafu, surely fans might have felt differently about him too? maybe even have been a little sympathetic to a manager who was clearly being impeded by clueless owners to doing what he was employed to do?
Anyway. Good luck to Orr, personally I hold no ill-feelings towards you and wish you all the best if you do decide to make the move permenant.

Nice thinking here Mr Berg.
As you quite rightly stated in your photo shoot turning the B&W shirt around : It isn't the name that is important on the shirt, but the badge that adorns it.
Berg will have one and all playing for that little honor.

This character was an ex dingle, and in my long association with BRFC his words just didn't add up considering he had just walked through the door ?
The disdain shown towards us the supporter by this character resulted in him calling the fans 'scum' !
Was he up for the right fight ? In my estimation - no.

Peterborough on saturday and we have to go for it in my opinion, the tide of public opinion is on the turn and the desire to back Henning from the fans is clear a few good results and this season could be really interesting.

I didnt rate Orr as a player either (apart from Kean I dont know who did tbh!), my point was his comments made him a pariah with the fans, but surely others would have fetl the same way whether they voiced it or not?
i didnt see the likes of Robbo, Dann etc make any bones about how Kean was managing, I can respect everyones opinion but I cant subscribe to the "the friend of my enemy is also my enemy" thing.
And he was on loan to the dingles.. doesnt really make him an EX-Dingle.. thats really harsh lol!

Bolton fan in peace. I have been keeping tabs on you guys recently, i am impressed with the football and organisation Berg seems to be implementing. I think its only a matter of time before you finish off teams. I can see a good fun coming and you champions by about 8 points.
I am attending Ewood for the lancashire derby on 28 November which will be a great contest, i think you will sneak it. We seem to be playing well now but need to take chances and close out games. 3 points for us both this weekend and Blackburn Bolton 1 & 2 in the league for the automatic promotion spots. Its all about after the christmas period who dares wins! plenty of games to look forward to. Good luck for the season and look forward to an atmospheric packed Ewood for the derby!

I have no issue with any person standing by that which they believe, but his stance was a two fingered salute to the vast majority of long suffering supporters and the derision he received thereon was totally justified. His heart was never ever in it for the greater good of the club, in my opinion ?
I may not agree with what he said but I will defend his right to say it, but then comes the rebuff to his patently obvious loyalty.
Our club became rudderless under the odious one(Venky are culpable too) and his type of comments said it all really.
Exactly, you didn't see Robbo etc making bones over the odious one's tenure seeing as they may have a tad more respect for the supporters, and allowed us to make the decision ?
Silence is golden !
Orr was there to give his best for BRFC not become embroiled with the supporters, and Berg will not stand for this kind of behavior when the club is sinking.
Just for the record I was ashamed at the level that was reached in regards the Odious One, but that could have been nipped in the bud.
The club is bigger than anyone - Orr and Kean finally realized that.
Ha Ha to him only being on loan :)

Defo need to play with 2 quick attacking wingers and 2 centre forwards working together.
Defo need an experienced holding midfielder in January. For me, that's the most important as I think for this league our defenders are good enough, they just need someone sitting infront, breaking down play and then starting the attack off again.
Attack attak attack - get the ball out wide to Nunez and Vuckevic and let them terrorise defenders, whip the ball in to 2 strikers and away we go!

Everybody knows how he got the job in the first place, no matter what he and his agent says. He, or more likely, you know who, spotted an opportunity which he knew he (or rather his client) would never get again; he out stayed his welcome for the same reason. Now he says he was driven out, the nerve of the man!
He knew exactly what the score was regarding signing players; his own agent started it for heaven's sake. Even then he didn't appear to be under any pressure to actually pick them (Rochina and Formica). And how many games did Singh's Portugese start under him - not many.
All this dignity and respect rubbish seems to conveniently miss a) his ineptitude as a manager whilst b) his accusation his own fans got him banned from driving and c) he accused Allardyce of being a crook. Ok he was a little tipsy and probably used "crook" as a throwaway insult, rather than literally, but it didn't put him or the club in a very good light, did it?
Nor was it very dignified.
Players will always support the manager that's given them a job; until one or the other has gone anyway. And I hardly think the lack of any protest from the dressing room constitutes their support of Orr's statement. When have you ever heard one player openly disagreeing with another about the ability of their manager? They may say something about it between themselves or even to him (Orr) personally but it doesn't really serve any purpose contradicting a team mate in front of the cameras or in the papers.
The lack of anyone actually supporting him was far more telling.
Do not start a sympathy campaign for this charletan. He got a job by dubious means; a job he in no way deserved. In the context of the game - remember that's all it is - he did get everything he deserved after that. He's now walked off with a shed load of cash (which he most certainly didn't deserve) and can forget about the whole thing, living a nice and comfortable life, miles away from Blackburn. All this despite having been an abject failure.
Now, that is not what I call suffering nor does it deserve any sympathy from anyone.

My point as RR picked up on is his opinion was from his own experience of Kean. I'm sure many of us have worked under odious management that we detested, but other people alongside of us who were maybe treated differebtly had a different perspective. With regards to him being vocal about his loyalty to Kean, he wasn't the only one to jump on the "dignity" wagon although we would have preferred to have Kean be more dignified by stepping down of course.
Orr didnt shine as a player and he didnt make any friends of fans with his allegiance but I wont hold it against him tbh, and he's on loan let us not forget.. we though Goodwillie was gone and he's back, there is little reason to believe that IT will want him if he doesnt shine, given his less than spectacular display for Rovers.

Good to see a footalling post from a local rival, yeh the last two years have been hell under Kean AND the Venkys so to hear posts just talking football again is great, HB has had a slow start but he seems to be going in the right direction, given time I hope both your predictions come true and we see you in the PL next year.
Good luck for the rest of the season (except against us obviously).

My point related more to the level of sympathy for Kean you suggest there may have been had circumstances been different.
" My point is, whatever fans felt about Kean, was surely more about his PR gaffs and the results on the ground."
What else is there for the fans to form an opinion about their manager? You can add to those the way he got the job in the first place or the appointments he made and those he influenced; Hendry, Agnew and, by association, Shaw. Not to mention his chauffeur getting the ground manager's job. Of course this was down to the owners incompetence in running a football club and having to rely on Kean so heavily. But then why didn't he say to them, "Look this isn't my field; I don't know who should be operations director/chairman/gr
ound manager". Instead he made sure he built a human shield around himself by giving jobs to his friends and allies.
The fact is the fans' opinion of Kean came from all the usual factors on which a fan of any club bases their opinion of their manager. I think you are being kind in calling the accusations he made against the fans and BFS as "PR gaffes" whilst the results speak for themselves. Thank heavens the players weren't all against him.
With Kean, there was a whole lot more besides; the interference with team selection just does not wash I'm afraid.
He would have been run out of virtually any other club, regardless of what the players said and before you even begin to consider any of the extra baggage,
