DARWEN'S brilliant wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Davies is in line to make his Lancashire one-day debut against Glamorgan at Colwyn Bay on Sunday.
Davies, a pupil at QEGS, gets his chance because Gareth Cross is suffering from a slight calf strain and is being rested.
Davies, who turns 17 next week, is a regular member of the Lancashire Colts team and is also involved with the England U19 set-up.
During the course of this season he has scored more than 600 Northern League runs for the Towers.
Lancashire squad
Steven Croft (capt), Karl Brown, Jordan Clark, Alex Davies (wkt), Kyle Hogg, Paul Horton, Simon Kerrigan, Sajid Mahmood, Stephen Moore, Oliver Newby, Stephen Parry, Luke Procter, Tom Smith
