Chorley captain Andy Holdsworth continued his fine season by hitting 70 off 105 balls as his side had the better of a drawn game at Barrow.
Holdsworth posted 104 for the first wicket with Jack Catterall (53) which provided the backbone of their 199.
Barrow were indebted to South African pro Pieter Malan for rescuing the game as he batted throughout the innings for an undefeated 86 off 149 balls including 15 fours as the home side closed 140-8. Gaurav Dhar and Iain Critchley each took three wickets.
