BURNLEY blasted their way to a fourth straight Worsley Cup win with a commanding performance against Haslingden.

The Turf Moor men enjoyed lifting the trophy on home soil after they wrapped up a six-wicket win yesterday evening.

Winning the toss and batting first, Haslingden made 170-9 with Lee Ingham hitting 41, Lewis McIntosh reaching 27 and professional Babar Naeem 32.

The wickets were shared around, as Bharat Tripathi, Jhangir Liaqat, Cole Hayman and Mick Midwood each took two wickets.

But the total was always going to be one Burnley were likely to reach and they did so in style.

Opener Vishal Tripathi made a half-century in reply, eventually falling for 56, while professional Chris Holt added 47 and Dave Brown 42 as they won with 20 overs in hand.
