Blackburn Rovers' Carling Cup victory over Portsmouth tonight may have come at a price with news that Aaron Mokoena and David Bentley both picked up injuries. It was feared Mokoena had broken his leg after he was stretchered off on 25 minutes. Boss Mark Hughes said: "It looks like something gave way in his leg and we're worried that it is a bad injury. "We are having to wait until he's assessed to see how serious it is but it doesn't look good. "When he first walked off for treatment it looked like just a bang but he's had a broken leg before." However, those fears appeared to be allayed late tonight. Club doctor Phil Batty said: "Aaron went to hospital where he had an X-ray and the results appear to be okay. "But we will need to evaluate things further over the next few days."
