STANLEY captain Peter Cavanagh is still sweating on whether he will be kept on by the club next season.

The 25-year-old defender met with manager John Coleman at the weekend and had "positive" talks about the future.

But, while he was happy to remain a Red, he said the ball was now in Stanley's court.

"Things are going a bit slow at the moment," he said. "Both sides have had their say and I put my side across. I don't think my demands are too excessive.

"If we get the right players in and keep the majority from last season then I'm sure we can do well next year."
