Former Todmorden and East Lancs pro Brendan Nash is rapidly making friends at Kent – even more so after a brilliant century in the drawn game with Yorkshire.
But he says his start to life at the St Lawrence Ground did not get off on quite the right foot.
“On my first day the dressing room attendant thought I was here for a trial and sent me to change in the away dressing room,” explained Nash.
“That was just after the security guys at the gate had told me I couldn’t park in the ground.
“I like to go under the radar a bit but not quite that much.”
