Accrington coasted into the second round of the Lancashire Cup on Saturday as they crushed Gujarat at Thorneyholme Road in their delayed clash.
The game should have been held last weekend – but with both teams present, neither umpire showed up following a misunderstanding.
The re-match was one sided and Accrington totally dominated from the start.
Gujarat won the toss and chose to bat and started well as they reached 40-2.
But then it went wrong for the visitors after Mubarak Patel’s top score of 47 and they collapsed to 105 all out.
Professional Ashar Zaidi ripped through the lower order to claim 4-11 and Simon Hanson picked up 3-18, while young Jake Clarke claimed 2-19 Hanson then got his teeth into the Gujarat attack and clattered 10 fours and four sixes as he smashed 77 from 54 balls.
Adam Greenwood was 21 not out as Accrington strolled home in just 15 overs to book their second round spot.
